As part of Black Hawk-Grundy Mental Health Center, our downtown Waterloo location is a drop-in peer-support center. Beginning services in 2006, our Recovery Center office aims to help provide individuals a safe, comfortable environment in which they can engage in mutual support with other individuals as well as our peer-support staff. We also offer numerous books and resources on mental health topics as well as free computer and internet access. Additionally, we have a free arts and crafts area, offer a Nintendo Wii game station. We also offer a range of fun activities and peer-support groups. Stop in for our monthly calendar of events. Visitors are free to come and go as they please-- feel free to stay 10 minutes or 2 hours! Our services are completely free, you do not need to sign-up or register, and we are open to any adult who is seeking wellness & recovery in their mental health.
